Let Ralph Vaughan Williams's thrilling choral masterpiece A Sea Symphony take you on a ravishing musical voyage capturing the mighty power of the ocean, in this not-to-be-missed concert from the 150 voices of Worcester Festival Choral Society.
Deepening the sea theme in this exciting concert is Frederick Delius's richly evocative choral work, Sea Drift.
A Sea Symphony, staged by WFCS to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vaughan Williams's birth, has been re-programmed by popular demand to replace the Society's planned 2020 performance, which had to be cancelled at the start of the pandemic.
Complemented by the magnificent setting of Worcester Cathedral, and accompanied by the superb Meridian Sinfonia symphony orchestra, this exceptional concert on Saturday 26 November will be conducted by Worcester Cathedral's director of music, Samuel Hudson. Join us to celebrate this wonderful music in grand choral and orchestral style!
Sarah Fox (soprano)
Andrew Mayor (baritone)
