26th of October, 2020
In light of the ongoing limitations surrounding large gatherings and live performances due to Covid-19, Worcester Festival Choral Society confirms that both of its planned concerts for autumn 2020 have had to be cancelled (14 November - Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius and 28 November - Handel's Messiah).
The Society's planned third performance of its current season (Bach's St John's Passion, planned for 20 March 2021) is under ongoing review.
Chairman Ben Cooper says: "We are keeping a watching brief and will announce whether that is possible nearer the time. Our thanks meanwhile to all our audience members, Patrons and Chorus members who have been so patient thus far. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon and to bringing the 'choral greats' back to Worcester!"
